🧠 Some Thoughts
I’ve spent the last couple days at TPM24 with the Gnosis Freight team.
The journey started with an RV trip from Scottsdale → Palm Springs → Long Beach.
It’s always fun to be in close quarters with a group of guys many years into the journey. You can learn a lot about people in this setting.
Austin, the Gnosis CEO has not done much content talking about their journey so far and where they’re going, but I’m going to work on something with him to help tell the story.
The fact that they’ve grown to the point they’re at without much publicity just goes to show there is more than one growth path to take.
It’s very fashionable to ‘build in public’ these days. I’ve obviously leaned into being more public than most and active on most socials. But depending on your business/personality it might make sense to take a different approach.

Next week on Wednesday, March 13 at 9pm EST, we’re testing a new event out I’m calling Shooting The Ship.
Tony Darnell, a shipping manager at Lippert Components and I will be discussing shipper/broker relations and freight in general in an Arena-style forum.

🐟 Freight Caviar Corner
This week at Freight Caviar: California authorities closed a 100-mile stretch of I-80, linking Reno and Sacramento, due to "spin-outs, high winds, and low visibility." The closure, from the California-Nevada border west of Reno to near Emigrant Gap, California, lacks an estimated reopening time.

Every Friday at 9a EST, myself and the Freight Caviar guys livestream and discuss the goings on from the week. You can tune in on most social channels.
Two weeks, Paul, Krystian, and I hosted Bill Driegert. It was a timely discussion considering Flexport just announced they were relaunching the Convoy platform under their ownership. Watch the episode here.

LOSTFR8.COM is a tool for carriers to market themselves.
As a carrier rep, I ALWAYS sought out carriers who made it easy for me to know where they had available capacity, what lanes they ran, etc. Carriers who made that easy were the ones I wanted to work with.
We built a tool that enables carriers to be easy to work with.
Carriers build public profiles that contain all the information brokers/shippers are looking for:
Capacity
Equipment profile
Preferred Lanes
Contact
This information is then shareable via a public profile and a truck list email tool.
